Ten Days Around Midwinter (2016)
Ten Days Around Midwinter was written in Copenhagen from the 16th to the 26th of December 2016. The work is a kind of a journal piece, where I wrote exactly 30 seconds each day. The beginning of each 30 second fragment is marked with a signal, underlining the predetermined grid-like structure of the piece.
I tried to incorporate some external elements that were on my mind each day, ranging from general ideas on orchestration to references to my older compositions of personal importance or masked quotations to music I was performing each day.
