Heim (2013)

Heim was commissioned by Við Djúpið in 2013 and premiered on the festival by Decoda.
The piece is in two movements, each built around a musical quotation of two different Icelandic songs. These songs are quoted in the exact place where the word "heim" appears in the lyrics. These quotations are a play on the duality of the word, since that in the first quotation the word means "home", but in the second it means "abroad".
